With the current resource boom in Papua New Guinea, there is an in increasing need for occupational health and medicine in PNG.

This is not a major subject taught in medical schools and health colleges in PNG but in the next 10 years I predict that occupational health and medicine will become very important.

Most big companies coming to bussiness in PNG are exploring ways to make sure their employees and contractors are fit and healthy for the kind of work they do. But finding qualified occupational medicine specialist to assist in this task is a real challenge.
