Example Of A Rural Health Service Supervision in PNG

Much has been said about the deteriorating rural health service in PNG. But I think pictures say more. So here are some pictures and clips of a rural health centre visit I did last year.

The health centre is called Yalis Health Centre. It is located in the Lower Lai area near Baiyer river in the Western Highlands Province. The health centre is run by the government but supervised from a church hospital. I did the visit as part our supervisory to health centers in the Wapenamanda.

Below are pictures of the health centre with staff houses.
