Is Fish Good For Developing Brains?

I am sure many of you may have read about fish helping brain developiment. I want to share my personal experience with you regarding my 2 year old son.

When my wife was expecting, she lived on fish. And I mean fish. Every meal was sea food. It was either fish boiled in coconut oil, or fried or smoked over hot charcoal or any other way but the main menu was always fish.

After my son was born, we introduced solids (pawpaw, pumkin etc) at 3weeks of age. And we gave him fish soup. Usually the fish was boiled in coconut cream and the soup was strained and after giving him is usual formula milk (I am not endorsing any milk products here) we gave fish soup. When we are in Japan, he loved fish.

Now his milestones – he walked at the age of 9 months, and started saying his few words before 1 year of age. And now he even remembers things we said to him when he wa a year old. He even remembers songs we played to him when he was 8-9 months old! He seem to have very good memory and his vocabulary is increasing very rapibly. We are now saying that he is growing too fast for his age.

And I think all the fish he was taking from the womb to after birth may have significant role to play.

Let me know your experiences or your knowledge with fish or fish oil and its use fuction/use in helping brain develpment.
